If the thing between you and dancing is not desire but dread, the fluorescent-lit group class, the mirror, the being seen, then this page is for you. Everything about how this studio teaches was designed, deliberately, for the person reading it.
Private by default, not as an upgrade
Your lessons are one on one at the Rozelle studio: you, your teacher, a closed door. No group to fall behind, no strangers to perform for, no moment where the room watches you count. The single biggest fear about learning to dance simply does not exist in the format we teach in.
Teachers who specialise in nervous starters
Almost everyone who walks in here believes they are uniquely unteachable. Our teachers have heard every version of I have no rhythm and two left feet since 2014, and they are specifically good at the first hour, the one where the nerves live. The free introductory session is mostly conversation, then a little dancing at whatever pace keeps you comfortable, and it carries no obligation at all.
Confidence is the actual product
Students who arrive shy do not just learn steps; they get back a version of themselves that says yes to the dance floor at weddings instead of guarding the table. Start with something gentle like the rumba or bachata, and read exactly what happens in a first lesson so nothing on the day is a surprise.
