Let us name the fear, because every couple carries it through the door: we cannot dance, everyone will be watching, and it is too late to fix that. All three are more wrong than you think. Almost every couple we prepare has never danced a step, and the watching part is exactly what a well-built first dance quietly takes care of.
Designed for people who have never danced
A beginner wedding program does not try to make you dancers in general; it makes you excellent at one dance, to one song, together. That narrower goal is why it works. The building blocks are chosen for non-dancers, rehearsed until they are automatic, and sized so that nerves on the night have nothing to knock over.
The two of you, nobody else
Lessons are private at the Rozelle studio: no group to keep up with, no audience while you learn, no question too basic. One of you more reluctant than the other? That is nearly universal, usually survives about ten minutes of the free first session, and your teacher has seen every version of it since 2014.
What you will actually dance
Whatever your song asks for. Slow ballads usually become a rumba, three-four songs a waltz, brighter songs something with more bounce. The choreography is fitted to you both, covered in detail on the choreography page.
