Balmain and Rozelle share a peninsula, a main street and most of their history, so calling us your local studio is barely a stretch: the studio sits on Darling Street, the same spine that runs down to the Balmain shops and the wharf.
Why Balmain students choose a boutique studio
For Balmain, lessons are less an outing than an extension of the street you live on. The studio is boutique in the true sense: one teacher per student or couple, private rooms rather than crowded classes, and personalised programs that begin wherever you actually are, no partner and no experience required.
The trip from Balmain
From most of Balmain it is a few minutes along Darling Street by car or bus, and from the western end it is a genuinely pleasant walk. Coming home from the city by ferry to Balmain East, the studio is a short hop back up the hill.
What happens in your first session
A conversation first
We start by talking about what you would like to get out of dancing, your confidence, your pace and what you are hoping for.
A little dancing
Then some gentle dancing, entirely at your pace. You do not need to know a single step, and you do not need to bring anyone.
A plan built around you
Your instructor recommends a program suited to your goals, your skill and your learning pace. No obligation to take it.
