Giving back

Dancing is better when it does some good.

Some of the most rewarding nights on our calendar are the ones that raise money for people who need it. Here is some of what the CareToDance family has been part of.

Stars of the North 2026, for Cancer Council NSW

On Friday 26 June 2026, CareToDance instructor Emiliano took to the floor at Norths Cammeray with local star Sue Bryant for Stars of the North, Cancer Council NSW’s high-energy dance spectacular for the North Shore and surrounding suburbs.

Ten local personalities trained for months and danced for a cancer-free future, and CareToDance was proud to be an event supporter. Sue’s own fundraising passed $12,900, and the event has raised more than $150,000 for Cancer Council NSW’s research, prevention programs and support services.

Dance for Dementia 2023, with Dementia Australia

In May 2023 CareToDance and Dementia Australia hosted the Dance for Dementia Inner West Gala Ball. Eleven local business owners and community leaders trained with our instructors for months and performed in front of more than 500 guests.

More than $110,000 was raised through donations, raffles and the support of local businesses, all of it for Dementia Australia and its research team.

Randwick Children’s Hospital, every Christmas

Every year we donate to the Randwick Children’s Hospital, with part of the sales of our November and December programs going to the hospital.

We also collect toys around the studio Christmas tree each year. If you are in for a lesson in December, bring one along.
