Dance for Dementia: Meet & Greet
Students meeting their instructors.
The purpose of the meet and greet was to bring all the Dance Stars together, foster camaraderie, and show that they are not alone in their journey. It provided an opportunity to share their fears and anxieties, as well as to raise a toast to a great cause. In addition, they had the chance to meet their instructors, who gathered information about their preferences and potential concerns such as injuries. Finally, they selected the dance style they will perform on the night.
We had a delightful three-course lunch hosted by The Fenwick, and the food was delicious!
The Dance Stars were briefed on the specifics of the event, including the number of lessons they need to complete their dance and other details. However, the most important thing was to have fun!

Annie Marshall
Annie is the co-owner and a General Practitioner at Rozelle Total Health, a multi-disciplinary primary health care practice providing GP, allied health and medical specialist care to our patients. As a local herself, Annie is passionate about serving our wonderful, vibrant community.
When not working, Annie can be found out and about with her husband George, three beautiful children and a toy cavoodle called Nutmeg. If she can find some downtime Annie is quite partial to a jigsaw puzzle
Annie agreed to take part in Dance for Dementia because in addition to her professional connection, she has several family members affected by Alzheimer’s Dementia and is acutely aware of the toll it can take on those affected and their carers. And because she believes that, just like skipping, it is not possible to feel sad while you dance.

Angela Loakimidis
I recently celebrated my 12th year at Bertoni – I know it’s flown by so fast!
I started at Bertoni at 16yo working on weekends while still at school.
As a teenager I was very shy and wasn’t very confident but that all changed when I started working at Bertoni:)
Thanks to such an amazing community and all the beautiful people I have met along the way. You’re a big part of why I love coming to work everyday.
My passion is to put a smile on peoples faces!
When I’m not in the shop….my favourite pastimes are: being around my friends, family and my fur babies.
I’m so happy and grateful to have been chosen in being part of such a special cause – Dance for Dementia.
Thanks Care to Dance for this special opportunity in the best community!

Joining the already very well established team of Monica Jamieson, Maureen Brennan (since retired ) and Ann Calleja , to name a few, made coming to work and serving the Balmain Community in all things Pharmacy and Healthcare an absolute pleasure.
