Latin dance is the sociable, sun-warmed half of what we teach: salsa, bachata, cha cha, rumba, samba, merengue, mambo and their cousins. If your picture of dancing involves laughter, percussion and a floor you would actually want to be on, you are shopping in the right aisle.
A family, not a subject
The Latin dances share a technical spine, weight transfer and Cuban motion, and personalities all their own: salsa is the party, bachata the slow burn, cha cha the flirt, rumba the love letter, samba the carnival. A personalised program moves you through the family as your taste declares itself, which it will.
Made for social Sydney
Latin floors are the busiest social dance scene in the city, running weekly all year, and they are built around partner rotation, so singles are the norm. Getting you confident enough to enjoy a social night is a completely realistic beginner goal, and one we build programs around all the time.
Where Latin sits in our 30+ styles
We teach more than 30 styles across Ballroom and Latin, and most students eventually cross the aisle: Latin dancers borrow ballroom's frame, ballroom dancers borrow Latin's hips. Start wherever the pull is strongest, privately, at the Rozelle studio, with the first session free.
