Latin dance is not one dance, it is a family: salsa's party, bachata's slow burn, cha cha's cheek, rumba's romance, samba's carnival. A private Latin program lets you move through the family as your taste develops, with one teacher who knows exactly where you are in each.
One program, many dances
This is where personalised programs beat fixed courses most clearly. A course teaches you eight weeks of one dance whether it suits you or not. A private Latin program might start you on bachata because it is the gentlest door in, add salsa when your timing settles, and fold in cha cha the week you are ready for it. The program bends to you.
The technique that carries across
Latin dances share a spine: weight transfer, Cuban motion, connection with a partner. Learned privately, that spine is built once and correctly, and every new dance in the family arrives faster than the last. Students are often startled that their third Latin dance takes a fraction of the time their first did. That is not talent appearing from nowhere; it is transfer, and it is designed in.
Come alone or together
No partner needed, ever. Singles are partnered by their teacher; couples learn together. Either way it starts with a free introductory private session at the Rozelle studio, and an honest recommendation about where in the Latin family you should begin.
